Behind the Stories
Project: Collage
Materials: Matt Board, Canvas, Gel Medium and Acrylic
Behind every story we see on the internet, or even in the newspaper, there is a person. Its easy to just brush it off and continue with your day, but through these words there is experience and emotion. Someone had to live through this. Foster care is a very emotional and toll taking event for someone to go through. When you add extra criticism like what comes with "coming out of the closet" , it can be very difficult.
Perspectives of Nature

Art Foundations
There are a lot of different perspectives on what exactly nature is. To someone who is always outside, nature could be the sights of a walk through the forest with no civilized life at all. When all you see is civilized life, nature could just be this courtyard. In my piece I want to get the idea that due to peoples surroundings, there are different definitions of nature. Even in other cases there are many different perspectives.
Just Let Go
Project: Choice
Material: Mat Board, Ink, Alcohol, Calligraphy Pens
This piece was all about letting go. I wanted to to something that was about not having control. I got the idea from the material I used. It is something you cant have control over. It goes wherever it wants to and there isn't much you can do to change that. You have to just go with it and let go in order to be able to work with this project.
Handing it Down
Project:Texture
Materials: Canvas, Acrylic Paint
This project changed a lot during the process of making it. I chose to do it like this because, for one, it pushed me and for two, I wanted to work with something new. I try to avoid hands because hands are my weak spot, but I like how this turned out. The meaning for this piece is to show that our generation is going to have to accept and continue what the generation before us has done.
